Harris Horses, Bordeaux, France
When I went to Harris Horses, as soon as I got there, I was greeted by the 2 dogs, Lulu and Jessie. The first horses I saw were Tiger, Sabrina and Super Nova.
Once I had unpacked I went down to the stables and met all the horses. I helped the lady, Jackie, lead Ruben, the Shetland pony, to the top paddock. Ruben was so cute, and his eyes were both different colours. He always wanted to trot.
In a few days I had my lesson on William, who's a Welsh Mountain pony. I got to brush him and saddle him before the lesson. Brushing a horse you don't know very well can help you bond with he or she.
The lesson was really fun. I got to trot and jump, which I hadn't done for a while. The next day I also had another lesson but this time William was really dirty and we probably spent an hour getting off all the mud.
Sometimes I helped Johnny with the horses. Johnny used to be a show jumper, so that was really exciting for me. Harris Horses was a great place. I only spent 4 days there, but I wish we could of stayed longer!
